Excessive Engine Oil Consumption

1.In the oil pan, the engine oil level declines rapidly while the engine is running.
2. The oil becomes black and the exhausted gas is blue.
1.The piston ring, cylinder liner or the piston ring groove are worn badly so that the piston ring will be stuck. The engine oil enters the combustor and the fuel gas gets into the crankcase.
2. The piston ring is installed reversely so that it loses the ability of oil control.
3. The oil control ring or the spill port of the piston is blocked by carbon deposit or other pollutants so that the oil can not return smoothly.
4. The engine oil grade is not matched.
5. The relative position deviation of the piston is large so that the sealing of the piston components is worsened.
6. The engine oil is added excessively or the clearance between the connecting rod and the bearing is too large so that the oil splashes a lot. Some of the oil gets into the combustor.
7. The sealing of diesel engine turbocharger is out of work.
8. As the valve duct has large clearance, the sealing of the valve pole is not available.
9. The ventilation of the crankcase is poor so that its inner excessive pressure leads to the oil leaking.
10. The oil leaks at the oil way or bearing strip.

Abnormal Wear and Tear( Early Abrasion and Cylinder Bore Scuffing)

1.In the short time after replacing the cylinder kits, the engine power declines, but the consumption of fuel and engine oil increases.
2. When the engine is disassembled, the cylinder is worn seriously and has scratches of cylinder bore scuffing.
1.Without running in or proper running in, the new cylinder kits are brought into operation so that the cylinder is worn badly, even the cylinder bore scuffing happens.
2. The long term running with overload, unsuitable timing oil supply or the cooling system failure will increase the temperature of the engine. Then the oil becomes thin and gives poor lubrication. Not only all the parts will be worn rapidly, but also some failure will present, such as piston seizure, cylinder bore scuffing, etc.
3. The air filter and the oil filter are out of work for they are not maintained in time. After running in, the oil is not replaced according to the instructions or the air intake system gets short circuit. Therefore, the dust or impurity enters the cylinder to form abrasive.
4. The unqualified engine oil and the mixed new and old oil will decrease the lubrication performance. If the oil is not replaced in time, its lubrication performance will also decline.
5. The oil with low pressure, lacking of oil or poor lubrication will accelerate the abrasion, even cylinder bore scuffing.
6. The overload running of engine, improper operation or engine combustion failure will generate a lot of carbon deposit to accelerate the wearing of the cylinder.
7. The engine is so heat that the piston ring groove gets overmuch carbon deposit, oil mud and other settlings. The piston ring will be broken or blocked so that it is worn seriously.
8. The cooling water with low temperature or long term idle running of the engine will cause serious corrosion and abrasion for cylinder liner.
9. The frequent starting of the engine will worsen the friction brush of the cylinder as the lubrication is poor while starting.
10. If the fuel has poor quality, the oil is supplied early or the engine is brought into operation without warming up after starting, it will present engine knock, poor lubrication on cylinder wall and the increased pressure on cylinder wall from piston. All the situations above will lead to serious abrasion of cylinder.
11. The improper maintenance and installation make the piston out of correct position, which will increase the air leaking, partial piston wearing, worse lubrication and abrasion.
12. Improper operation like abrupt stop after large load running will lead to the cylinder bore scuffing.
